Retirement & Farewell Parties in Jacksonville: photography & video
A retirement party marks the end of a career that may have lasted decades, and it brings together colleagues, former team members, family and friends who rarely share a room. MacroSnaps photographers and videographers cover retirement and farewell parties hosted by companies, departments and families, from an office send-off to a restaurant dinner or banquet hall celebration.
Jacksonville is one of the biggest cities in Florida, home to roughly 868,000 people. We cover retirement party events at hotel ballrooms, museums and event venues across the area, from Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens, Museum of Science & History (MOSH) and Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club to private homes, restaurants and community halls. Jacksonville's meetings market draws on logistics, finance, healthcare and a large military presence, while nearby Ponte Vedra Beach hosts golf-centered corporate events around THE PLAYERS Championship each March. Summers are hot and humid with afternoon storms, so spring and fall are the most dependable seasons for beach and riverfront shoots.
The heart of these events is the tributes: speeches from managers and colleagues, stories from family, the slideshow of photos from earlier years and the retiree's own words at the end. We make sure those moments are covered, along with group photos with each team and generation of colleagues, and candid photos of people reconnecting. Tell us who should be in the gallery and we'll find them.
For a typical retirement party, clients in Jacksonville book about 3 hours of photography ($450) and 2 hours of videography ($500). Photography is $250 for the first hour and $100 for each additional hour; videography is $300 for the first hour and $200 for each additional hour, with a 2-hour minimum. The first-hour price includes travel, so Jacksonville costs the same as anywhere else we work, and there are no quotes to wait for.

Book 2 to 3 hours

Share the program
Send the order of speakers, the slideshow timing and any presentations, so the photographer is in place for each moment.
Make a group-photo list
List the teams, departments and family combinations you want, and ask a colleague to help gather people.
Record the tributes on video
Speeches and the retiree's farewell are worth keeping with sound. A highlight video of 3 to 8 minutes makes a thoughtful keepsake.
