Proms & School Dances in Colorado Springs: photography & video

Prom and school dances are some of the most photographed nights of high school, and schools, PTAs and parent committees often want a professional record of the whole event. MacroSnaps photographers and videographers cover proms, homecoming and formal dances, from the grand march and arrivals to group photos with friends, a portrait station and candids on the dance floor.

Colorado Springs is one of the biggest cities in Colorado, home to roughly 457,000 people. We cover prom or school dance events at event and banquet venues across the area, from The Broadmoor, Glen Eyrie Castle and Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College to private homes, restaurants and community halls.

Because we are photographing students, we work with school staff from the start. We agree with your coordinator on where we will be, what will be photographed and how the gallery will be shared, and we follow your school's media and consent policies, including students who should not be photographed. Our coverage stays friendly and appropriate, and staff remain in charge of the event throughout.

For a typical prom or school dance, clients in Colorado Springs book about 4 hours of photography ($550) and 3 hours of videography ($700). Photography is $250 for the first hour and $100 for each additional hour; videography is $300 for the first hour and $200 for each additional hour, with a 2-hour minimum. The first-hour price includes travel, so Colorado Springs costs the same as anywhere else we work, and there are no quotes to wait for.
