Galas & Fundraisers in Des Moines: photography & video

Galas and fundraisers need photos that work long after the night ends: for the press release, the annual report, sponsor thank-yous and next year's invitation. MacroSnaps photographers and videographers cover the red carpet and step-and-repeat, honorees and speakers, the live auction and paddle raise, and the guests and sponsors who made the evening possible. We aim for photos your team can use across print, web and social media without extra editing.

Des Moines is a major city in Iowa, home to roughly 210,000 people. We cover gala or fundraiser events at hotel ballrooms, museums and event venues across the area, from Des Moines Art Center, Salisbury House & Gardens and Terrace Hill to private homes, restaurants and community halls. Des Moines is an insurance and financial-services center, which drives a steady stream of corporate meetings, and the Iowa State Fair each August is one of the state's biggest annual gatherings. Midwestern winters are cold, so most outdoor weddings and portraits happen from May through October.

We work closely with your development and communications teams before the event. A shot list of VIPs, board members, sponsors and honorees lets us make sure the people who matter most to your organization are photographed, and the full gallery is retouched and usually ready in about one week. A highlight video can also be used to open next year's event or support your fundraising appeal.

For a typical gala or fundraiser, clients in Des Moines book about 5 hours of photography ($650) and 4 hours of videography ($900). Photography is $250 for the first hour and $100 for each additional hour; videography is $300 for the first hour and $200 for each additional hour, with a 2-hour minimum. The first-hour price includes travel, so Des Moines costs the same as anywhere else we work, and there are no quotes to wait for.
