Chinese Wedding Photographers in Utah

MacroSnaps covers Chinese or Asian wedding celebrations throughout Utah, from Salt Lake City, West Valley City and Provo to smaller communities across the state. We are one company with our own photographers and videographers, not a marketplace, so every Chinese or Asian wedding in Utah gets the same standards, prices and delivery times.

A Chinese wedding day often starts early and runs late: the groom and his groomsmen arrive for the door games, the couple serves tea to parents and elders, there may be a Western-style ceremony, and the evening ends with a banquet of many courses, toasts at every table and two or three outfit changes. MacroSnaps photographers and videographers follow the whole day so the traditions and the fun are both recorded.

Choose your city below for local venues, typical coverage and answers to common questions, or book directly online. A typical Chinese or Asian wedding is about 6 hours of photography ($750) and 5 hours of videography ($1,100).

Planning tips

Planning your coverage in Utah

Map the morning and the evening

Send us times for the door games, tea ceremony, any ceremony and the banquet. Many couples book morning coverage and banquet coverage separately to avoid paying for the gap in the afternoon.

Prepare the tea ceremony order

Write down the order of parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. A list lets us anticipate each elder and keeps the tea ceremony moving.

Plan time for each outfit

Allow 10 to 15 minutes after each outfit change for a few portraits. Without it, some outfits end up only in candid table photos.

Add video for the door games and toasts

The door games and the yam seng toast are about sound and energy. A second photographer or videographer helps when the bride and groom start the day in different homes.

Can you cover the door games and tea ceremony in the morning?

Yes. Many couples book the morning and the banquet as separate events, each with its own hours, so they only pay for the coverage they need.

Yes. We ask about your family's traditions in advance, including the ancestral altar ceremony or pyebaek, and plan the coverage around them.

How much does Chinese wedding photography cost?
